Mick Regan

Head Women's Soccer Coach

Mick Regan is entering his fifth season as the head coach for men's and women's soccer at Ashford University. Originally from Leigh-on-Sea, England, a town 45 miles from London, Regan was part of a youth team that won a National Championship in England in 1994. He came to the US on a soccer scholarship to attend Marycrest International University in Davenport, Iowa. Regan completed a stellar playing career there and was named Athlete of the Year, All-Conference, All-Region, and an Academic All-American.

Upon graduation Regan accepted a position as a teacher at Davenport Assumption High School where he taught AP Biology and coached women's soccer. He led the team to back-to-back state championships in 2002 and 2003. In his years at AHS the team had a record of 41-8-3, which was a big turn around from the 2-11 record they had the year before he took over the reins.

He also coached at Davenport West High School, Davenport, Iowa, where he led the men's soccer team to a second place finish in the conference. "This was a huge achievement," he said, "because the year before they were 0-10 and dead last."

Regan was also an assistant coach at Augustana College from 2002-2004, when they won their first conference title in the school history. In 2004, Regan was named the Men's Coach of the Year for the Midwest Classic Conference, an award that he won again in 2007.

Regan is also the Club Director of Quad Cities United Soccer Club, which is a premier club that showcases talent in the Quad City Area. Regan has a USSF "B" National Coaching License. Regan has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from MIU. He and his wife, Nikki, and sons, Liam, Luke, and Timothy live in Eldridge, Iowa.
